Ingredients

  1. Yakhni ingredients :
  2. 1 kgbeef
  3. 1medium onion
  4. 2large tomatoes
  5. 1 tspKachri powder
  6. 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  7. 2 tbspFennel seeds
  8. 2 tbspCoriander seeds
  9. 4-5Elaichi
  10. 6-8Long
  11. 6-8Green chili
  12. 1 tspCumin seeds
  13. 2Star anise
  14. 1Tez Pata
  15. Cinnamon sticks 2
  16. 1 tspBlack peppercorn
  17. Ingredients for masala :
  18. 1/2 kgRice
  19. 1 cupYougurt
  20. Mint leaves 1/2 cup
  21. 1 tbspGreen chilies paste
  22. 2 tbspYakhni pulao masala
  23. to tasteSalt
  24. 1/4 tspShah zeera
  25. 6-8Dried plums
  26. Ghee half cup
  27. 1 cupFried onion

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan put all the yakhni ingredients along with 6 cups of water and cook for good 2 hours until beef gets tender.

    Take out meat from yakhni and safe yakhni for masala.

  3. 3

    In another pan heat ghee add green cardamom and shah zeera add meat and fry.

  4. 4

    In a bowl add green chillies paste,yougurt and mint leaves,yakhni pulao masala, dried plums.

  5. 5

    Now add this mixture into meat and cook for another 10 mins.now add yakhni and bring it to boil.

  6. 6

    Then add soaked rice,cooked on high flame,when water reduced add fried onion and put it on dum for 10 to 15 minutes.
