Bisibele Bhaat With Tomato Rasam - South Indian One Pot Meal - Lunch / Dinner

Wash well Rice and Toor dal. Keep a side.

Wash and chopped all vegetables.

In a cooker add ghee, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, hing, curry leaves, green and red chili, cinnamon, and cloves, and saute for 1 minute.

Add chopped onions, and saute till turn translucent, now add chopped tomatoes, mix well, and cook till turns soft.

Add chopped capsicum, and saute for a while, now add the rest of all the chopped vegetables, and mix well.

Add tamarind pulp and jaggery to balance the taste.

Add all masalas like red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sambhar masala, fresh coconut, and salt to taste, and mix well.

Add toor dal and rice, mix well, and add sufficient water to make bisi bele bhaat in mixed consistency.

Cover the cooker lid, and make 4 -5 whistles to cook properly.

Turn off the gas, and wait to cool down the pressure.

Open it and serve it hot. Serve on a plate, pour 1 tsp ghee on it, and garnish with coriander and fresh coconut..

You can enjoy TOMATO RASAM also, it enhances the flavour and taste.
