Put pulse,water,salt,turmeric powder,bottle guard,tomato and curry leaves in a pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.

Open the lid and blend with a wooden masher.

Add tamarind pulp and sambhar masala,mix well.

Heat oil in a laddle and add mustard seeds.
- 5
Let it crackle and pour into sambhar.
- 6
Serve sambhar with dili,dosa.
