Clean,wash& soak masoor ki dal (lal dal) in water for 15-20 minutes. Strain water,add daal in pot fill with 2-3 cup fresh water,add 2 Tbsp oil & give one quick boil.remove scums at the top of water when boiling.lower flame to medium aftr boil.add salt, lal mirch,haldi,adrak paste in daal and leave to cook over medium heat.give stirs in between.adding oil in daal helps prevent falling out of pot.cover only half of pot ( in which dal is cooking,full cover made daal spils out of pot.

When daal is soft and water reduced, daal is getting thick, mix well so that daal is well blended & dont looks split. (Water seprates& daal seprates) add hari mirch in it..when daal is cooked, make bhagar.heat oil,add chop garlic,sabut lal mirch,zeera and when garlic turns golden, pour over daal.Serve hot with chapati or rice, enjoy with Cookpad.
