I harvested a lot of basil from the a pot in my garden, so I tried adding some to my usual tomato sauce. If you cook down the sauce too much, thin it out a bit with pasta cooking water. If you don't simmer the sauce enough though it will be watery. If you don't have fresh basil, substitute dried basil. If you don't like the sourness of tomato, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar. Ok, I'm always in search of perfection as far as tomato sauce goes... It's my own personal "holy grail." (and please, to any and all "real chefs" out there, if you have any suggestions for this recipe, it would be more than welcome) My grandmother made amazing tomato sauce but died from Alzheimers before I could get the recipe from her. Since then I've been experimenting with this recipe constantly. I've tried numerous incarnations, numerous ingredient variants, etc. I feel as if I still don't have it down to perfection, but I have it good enough that it still yields a decent sauce. FYI: this recipe is for a big batch. I designed and cook it this way because it's simply delectable and is perfect to put in containers, freeze, and have on a night where you're simply too busy to make something homemade.P. S. - I know, it's strange putting butter in a tomato sauce, and it seems like alot of butter, but I assure you, that's what makes the recipe. The Sexy Chef -
Pasta with Basic Tomato Sauce Pasta with Basic Tomato Sauce
I wanted to enjoy a simple pasta sauce using only olive oil, tomatoes, and garlic, so I made this. You have to wait patiently until the heated tomatoes start to release their juices. If it seems like there isn't enough moisture, add a little pasta water. Recipe by Shiawasenashokutaku cookpad.japan -

The basil pasta I had at a restaurant was delicious, so I tried making it at home using home-grown basil leaves to make the sauce!Using thick cuts of bacon and basil sauce that doesn't contain pine nuts is only my preference. You can do other preparations while the pasta is boiling. Don't forget to set aside 100 ml of the pasta water!I recommend thick cuts of bacon, cut into sticks for a nice texture.Fresh basil leaves are great for a garnish! Recipe by Hamumaki cookpad.japan -

I wanted to use fresh tomatoes while they were in season.I used some orecchiette that I received from a friend to make some seafood pasta and tomato sauce with brandy. You can quickly make this by adding tomato sauce to pasta. If you add the basil after turning off the heat, it won't blacken.Definitely add brandy if you have it. It will give the pasta a nice fragrance. This uses olives, so go easy on the salt. Recipe by Brandy cookpad.japan -

A pasta dish that adults and children can enjoy. This is a big hit in our house.Even though it's just a small amount, the miso and milk have a big impact!!Take care not to let the garlic or onion burn. Don't cook for too long after adding the milk and miso.If the sauce gets too concentrated, adjust by adding some of the pasta cooking water.Cook the pasta for 1 minute less than indicated on the package. For 2 servings. Recipe by Maimama cookpad.japan -

Pasta with Tuna and Tomato Sauce Pasta with Tuna and Tomato Sauce
I came up with this recipe after much thought. Tomato sauce is just not enough, but if you add some heavy cream, it is so delicious. For the tomato sauce I usedDuring Step 2, you can simmer over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes. If you can't make the sauce at the same time as the pasta, add some hot salt water to the sauce pan instead.-You can use just the tomatoes and tuna.-You can serve 2~3 people if you use a lot of sauce.
