Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 50 Gramgram seeds
  2. 1/2coconut
  3. 2bay leaf
  4. 1dried Chilli
  5. 1/2 teaspoonjeera
  6. 2cloves
  7. 1/2"Dalchini
  8. To tastesugar
  9. To tastesalt
  10. as neededOil
  11. 700 gramAsh gourd
  12. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  13. 2small ilachi
  14. 1/2 cupmilk
  15. 2 tablespoonghee

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the ash gourd

  2. 2

    Cut it into cuboidal pieces

  3. 3

    Boil the ash gourd adding some salt in it in a pressure cooker

  4. 4

    Take oil in a kadhai and add jeera, bay leaf,dried chilli, clove, illaichi and darchini.

  5. 5

    Saute it

  6. 6

    Grate the coconut and add it in that oil and saute it a little

  7. 7

    Add the ash gourd in that oil without strainig the water

  8. 8

    Add salt,sugar,milk.

  9. 9

    Donot boil the mixture very much as it will have some water content.

  10. 10

    Before serving add ghee.

  11. 11

    Serve it well.
