Ingredients

3-4 people
  1. Beef Shawarma
  2. 500 gRibeye steak
  3. 2 tbspLebanese shawarma seasoning
  4. 1 tspall spice
  5. 1 tspcinnamon
  6. 1White onion
  7. 2 tbspGreek style yogurt
  8. 2 tbspVegetable oil
  9. Tahini Sauce
  10. 2 tbspTahini
  11. 2 tbspGreek style yogurt
  12. 1/2small Lemon (squeezed)
  13. Water
  14. Bunchchopped Parsley
  15. Optional
  16. Flatbread (wrap up and eat as a sandwich with tomato and pickle)
  17. Fries (or any other side)
  18. Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Tenderise the meat using a mallet or similar then cut it into thin strips about 3-4cm long and put in a bowl

    Add 2 tbsp yogurt, the Shawarma seasoning, all spice, cinnamon (and a pinch of salt) to the bowl then mix well

  3. 3

    Leave the meat to marinate for about 30 minutes

  4. 4

    Chop the onion into strips and put in a saucepan with the vegetable oil and cook for 5 minutes. Add salt to help remove the moisture

  5. 5

    Add the marinated meat and leave to cook on a medium heat

  6. 6

    For the sauce mix the yoghurt, tahini, lemon juice, and some salt

  7. 7

    Add a little water to make the sauce slightly runny

  8. 8

    Add the parsley and mix it together

  9. 9

    Go back to check on the beef, it should be ready once all the liquid has evaporated

  10. 10

    Serve once the meat is cooked
