First make the sauce, heat the oil in a saucepan and add the onions and garlic. Fry gently for about 6 to 7 minutes until softened

Add the tomatoes and stir in the tomato purée, then bring to the boil and boil rapidly for about 5 minutes until reduced slightly stirring constantly. Remove the pan from the heat and leave to cool

For the pizza base, lightly grease a 12 inch round pizza tray. Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl sprinkle over the easy blend yeast and make a well in the centre. Pour in 175 mL warm water and the olive oil, then mix to a soft dough

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead for 8 to 10 minutes, until smooth.

Roll out to a 10 inch round, making the edges slightly thicker than the centre. Lift the dough onto the pizza tray

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough then top with the peppers, mozzarella, pepperoni, black olives and tomatoes. Sprinkle over the you reckon know and drizzle with olive oil

Cover loosely and leave in a warm place for about 30 minutes until slightly risen

Preheat the oven to 220°C

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes and serve hot straight from the tray
