Summer is in full swing & so is mango. Mango mania is in air everywhere. Raw & ripe mangoes are consumed fully in every home in various dishes. Here is Fajeto aka mango kadhi which is made from ripe mango seeds.

Ingredients

15 minutes
2 persons
  1. 5-6ripe mango gootla
  2. 3-4kokum or lemon juice
  3. 1 tbspjaggery
  4. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  5. 1 tspred chilli powder
  6. 2 cupswater
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. For tempering:
  9. 7-8curry leaves
  10. 2cloves
  11. 1small piece cinnamon
  12. 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  13. Pinchasafoetida
  14. 1 tspghee
  15. For garnishing:
  16. 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander

Cooking Instructions

    Soak seeds in water & remove all pulp with the help of hand & knife.

    Make this pulp smooth by using hand blender.

  3. 3

    Now heat ghee, give temper by tempering ingredients & add blended liquid.

  4. 4

    Add spices, salt, jaggery & kokum. Bring it to boil & slow down heat & boil for few minutes. Serve hot.
