Ingredients

  1. For Dal fry:
  2. 1/2 cuptuvar dal
  3. 1/2 cupchana dal
  4. 1/2 cupyellow moong dal
  5. 1/2 cupmasoor dal
  6. 1/4 cupurad dal
  7. Fortadka/tempering
  8. 2 tbspghee
  9. 1 tspcummin seeds
  10. 1 pinchasafoetida (hing)
  11. 2onions finely chopped
  12. 1 tbspgarlic paste
  13. 2 tbspgreen chillies-ginger paste
  14. 3tomato pulp
  15. to tasteSalt
  16. For spicy taste/ masala
  17. 1 tspred chilli powder
  18. 1 tspdhaniya/ jeera powder
  19. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  20. 1/2 tspcinnamon- cloves powder
  21. 4 tbspbutter
  22. Forbiscuits bhakhari:
  23. 250 gmscoarse wheat flour (wheat ladoos flour)
  24. 50 gmsregular wheat flour
  25. 4 tbspghee for moin
  26. to tasteSalt
  27. As requiredWarm milk to bind dough
  28. As requiredGhee to apply on prepared bhakhari
  29. ToServe:
  30. 1Lemon
  31. As requiredSour mango pickle
  32. 1Onion

Steps

  1. 1

    For preparing Dal fry..Wash all dals and pressure cook. Cool it,but don't mix with spoon.

    In kadhai add,melt ghee,do tempering of cumin seeds,hing, add & saute chopped onions till pinkish in colour. Add and saute garlic and chillies-ginger paste.

    Add tomato pulp saute for 3 -4 minutes. Add boiled dal mixture,salt,red chilli powder, dhania- jeera powder,garam masala, cinnamon- cloves powder,mix and cook for 5 mins.

    Add butter and off the flame.

    For biscuit bhakhari.In mixing bowl or thali add both wheat flour,salt and ghee..mix and with warm milk bind,knead into tight dough. Immediately made 12 portions/ flat balls of prepared dough. Roll each ball into thick bhakhari.

    On hot nonstick tawa.Roast bhakhari on both sides till golden brown with help of wooden block on slow flame.

    Relish Delicious Hot Biscuit Bhakhari with hot Dal fry. Also serve lemon slice,sour mango pickle and onion.
