  1. 1 cuprava / semolina / sooji
  2. 2 tbspoil
  3. 1 tspmustard / rai
  4. 1/2 tspurad dal
  5. leavesfew curry
  6. 3 tbsppeanuts
  7. 1/2onion (finely chopped)
  8. 1 inchginger (finely chopped)
  9. 2green chilli (finely chopped)
  10. 2tomato (finely chopped)
  11. 1/4 tspturmeric / haldi
  12. 2 tbsppeas / matar
  13. 2beans (finely chopped)
  14. 3/4 tspsalt
  15. 1/4 tspsugar
  16. 3 cupwater
  17. 1 tbspghee

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard, ½ tsp urad dal and few curry leaves.

    Also roast 3 tbsp peanuts till they turn crunchy. Now add ½ onion, 1 inch ginger, 2 green chilli and saute well.

    Furthermore add tomato and saute till they turn soft and mushy. Now add vegetables like peas and beans. Saute till the vegetables get cooked well completely.

    Add in turmeric, salt and sugar. Saute on low flame for a minute. Pour 3 cup water and add 1 tbsp ghee.

    Get to vigorous boil and mix well. Keeping the flame on low start adding roasted rava slowly, stirring continuously in another hand.

    Cover and simmer on low flame for 3-5 minutes or till tomato upma is cooked well.

    Finally, serve tomato rava upma with coconut chutney.
