Today happens to be World Idli Day, and I realised that I have already uploaded my recipe for Idli on Cookpad, but haven't shred my favourite coconut chutney recipe till now 🙈
So here it goes 😋
Btw this recipe is simple, doesn't require as many ingredients, and goes beautifully well with idlis 🤤

Bring all the ingredients together.
- 2
Start by breaking open the coconut. Remove from the hard shell.
- 3
Chop the coconut roughly and add to a blender.
- 4
Add ginger, coriander, green chili, salt, and a little water. Blend till smooth.
- 5
Transfer to a bowl. Now heat oil in a pan and combine mustard seeds, dried red chili, asafoetida, and curry leaves. Cook till mustard seeds splatter and then add the tempering to the coconut mixture.
- 6
Mix in the tempering and your green coconut chutney is ready to be served.
- 7
Serve cold with idli or dosa or uttapams. You can store the chutney in the refrigerator for 2-3 days easily.
