Ingredients

  1. 2 cupscooked rice
  2. 1/4easpoon salt
  3. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  4. 1 tablespoonghee
  5. Spice powder for tamarind rice
  6. 4dry red chillies
  7. 2 teaspoonscoriander seeds
  8. 1 teaspoonchana dal
  9. 1 teaspoonurad dal
  10. 1/4 teaspoonmethi seeds
  11. 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  12. 1/2 teaspoonsesame seeds
  13. 1/2 teaspoonhing
  14. Tamarind pulp
  15. 50 gramstamarind
  16. 2 cuphot water
  17. Tempering and other ingredients for tamarind rice
  18. 3 tablespoonsoil
  19. 1/4 cuppeanuts
  20. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  21. 1/2 teaspoonhing
  22. 1 sprigcurry leaves
  23. 2-3dry red chillies
  24. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  25. 2 teaspoonsjaggery powder

Cooking Instructions

    Take pan and dry roast all spices and let it cool and grind into powder

    Take out the tamarind pulp

  3. 3

    Take the kadai put grinded spices and tamarind juice and let it cook till it becomes paste

  4. 4

    Take kadai put ghee and the tamarind powder and let it cook add rice and mix well

  5. 5

    Tamarind rice is ready to serve with curd
