Cooking Instructions

Take a cup of black eyed beans,wash with plain water and soak for overnight.

Drain the water completely. Add to the mixer jar. Add ginger, green chillies, cumin seeds,salt and curry leaves. Grind into a smooth batter.

Transfer to a bowl,add turmeric powder, Red chilli powder, asafoetida powder and garam masala powder. Give a nice mix.

Keep a dosa tawa on medium heat, take a ladle full of batter,pour in the middle of the dosa tawa, spread it evenly round shaped chilla. Sprinkle some oil. Cook for two minutes, flip it to another side. Remove from the tawa.

Another method, make chilla, and sprinkle some chopped onions. Cook both sides. This onion enhances the taste.

Transfer to a serving plate. Tasty black eyed beans chilla is ready to serve. Enjoy with tomato chutney.
