Ingredients

4 people
  1. 1/2 kgcluster beans
  2. 2potatoes
  3. 2onions
  4. 1 tspoil
  5. 1 tspmustard seeds
  6. Pinchhing/asafoetida
  7. 1 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspred chilli powder
  9. to taste Salt
  10. 2 tspjaggery

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes
  1. 1

    First cut the cluster beans, onions and potatoes

  2. 2

    Then take a kadai, heat it and pour the oil. When oil gets hot add the mustard seeds and let them crackle

  3. 3

    Then add the pinch of asafoetida and turmeric powder, red chilli powder

  4. 4

    To this add cut onions and potatoes and saute for a minute or so. Place a cover on top of the kadai with water on it.

    When you see water evapourating on top of the cover remove it

  6. 6

    Then add the cluster beans to it and mix it nice with onions and potatoes for a minute and add the jaggery. Then again place the steel cover with water on it. Let all this happen on slow heat.

    Again when you see when water has evapourated

    Remove the cover

  9. 9

    Check with help of a knife if potatoes have cooked.

  10. 10

    This process takes about 3 to 4 minutes.

    Remove from the gas and serve add fresh grated coconut
