Ingredients

  1. 1 BowlUrad Dal
  2. 6 BowlsWater
  3. 1 TspSalt
  4. 1/2 TspTurmeric Powder
  5. 1 TspRed Chilli Powder
  6. 2Whole Red Chillies
  7. 1/2 TspAsafoetida
  8. 1 TspCumin Seeds
  9. 1 TspKasoori Methi
  10. 1/2 TspGaram Masala
  11. 1Big Onion Chopped
  12. 2Tomatoes Chopped
  13. 1 TspGinger Garlic Paste
  14. 2Green Chillies Chopped
  15. Coriander Leaves Chopped
  16. 4 TbspGhee

Cooking Instructions

    Wash dal properly.

    Pressure cookdal with salt, haldi and 1 tsp ghee for 15 min.

    Now for Tadka.. Take a kadhai. Add rest of ghee. Heat. Add jeera. Let it splutter. Add whole red chillies. Add hing.

    Add onion. Saute till brown.

  5. 5

    Add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies. Saute.

  6. 6

    Add chopped tomatoes. Add red chilli powder. Saute till ghee leaves the sides.

  7. 7

    Add boiled dal. Simmer for 5 min. Add garam masala.

    Garnish with coriander leaves
