Easy!! Refreshing Apple Compote

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
The other day, the apples I put at the family altar were about to shrivel, so I went to the supermarket for more. They were selling "Ruby Apples," so I made this by adapting a recipe from a book.
if you let it cool overnight, it becomes crisp. If you can do that, the acidity of the apples makes it really flavorful. Recipe by Mamami
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel, cut, and slice the apples.
- 2
Put the apples into a deep bowl (a ramen bowl is good) and add the raw cane sugar, white wine, water, and sliced lemon. Wrap loosely with plastic wrap.
- 3
Microwave (600W) for 15 minutes. It is ready when the apples become soft.

Sugar-Free Apple Compote
I wanted enjoy the leftover old apple, but I thought it will be a lot of trouble to simmer it in a pot. I also ran out of sugar, so I created this recipe.I make it just with the liquid from the apple. You can substitute the honey with other sweeteners (such as normal sugar, maple syrup, etc). It's also tasty to add lemon juice and cinnamon powder if you like ︎When you want to make it pink, please make it using a red apple with the skin on and white sugar. Easy Apple Compote in the Microwave

Apple Compote with Red Wine
I wanted to use apples to make a healthy snack. I only used the minimum amount of sugar to reduce sweetness and added a hint of spices to suit my own taste.Simmered apples are delicate, so treat them with care when you're taking them out. You can make them nicely with leftover wine.*Jonathan apples cook quite fast. Please adjust the cooking time to your desired toughness of the apples. I personally simmer mine for a long time, since I really dislike the crunchy texture of the apples. For a manageable amount. Recipe by Setsubunhijiki

Apple Compote (Simmered in Red Wine)
This is my mother's recipe.Every winter I'm sent a lot of apples from my home town. I make this when the apples start to turn soft, or when I'm tired of eating them as-is.This just needs to be simmered, so it's very easy. You can use white wine instead of red. If you use red wine, the flavor is deep and grownup, and if you use white wine, it's clean-cut and elegant. Recipe by La Land

Apple Compote In the Microwave
I wanted to easily make the type of apple from tarts or apple pies, so I made this in the microwave. These are so tasty, it's great to have just by itself as well.If you want to make the best of the rum, add it right before cooling the apples. If you're worried about the alcohol, add it in Step 2. The cooking time should differ depending on the type and condition of the apples. Adjust the time while keeping an eye on the apples. For 1-2 servings. Recipe by teddynancy

Easy Pear Compote
I've loved pears since I was a child. They are delicious fresh, but I wanted to use them when cooking both sweet and savory dishes, so I made a compote.Since the pears will be simmered, choose pears that are on the firm side. You can serve the compote with ice cream, chop it up and put it in yogurt, or use it for hors d'oeuvres, tarts and other sweets. Recipe by Usagi no Cima.

Peach Compote
I used some bruised peaches to make compote. You can eat it plain, but I also recommend using it to make tarts or jelly. Here are the peach compote pieces with yogurt in a different dessert recipe.-In Step 2, if your peaches are soft, be careful not to simmer them for too long.-If you're making a lot at once, you can boil the peaches whole. If boiling whole, extend the boiling time a little. If you want to store the compote for a longer time, increase the amount of sugar and store in a sterilized jar. The amount of sugar in this recipe is reduced, so enjoy as soon as possible. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221

Peach Compote
I bought lots of peaches, so I wanted to use them while they were still fresh. If the peaches are ripe, you should be able to slightly reduce the simmering time; feel free to make adjustments as you like.If the skin has a deep colour, simmering the peaches with their skins gives the compote a beautiful pink colour (when using white wine).I recommend serving these the following day. Recipe by Pu-kosan

Peach Compote
I received many peaches, so I made them into a compote before they went bad.Additional note: I added the simmering time.It depends how ripe the peach is, so cook until soft enough to poke through easily with a chopstick. Recipe by Shinamoro-rus

Suprisingly Easy Apple Jam
I received a lot of apples as a gift. The amount of sugar should be about 30% of the weight of the apples after they're peeled. This time, I used less sugar since the apples were sweet and I wanted to make the jam less sweet. The sweetness differs by apple variety, so taste and adjust. If you are using artificial sweetener, please consume quickly because it tends to go bad quicker! Recipe by nani cafe

Fig Compote
I make these every year when I manage to get some small figs. These fruits are also easy to use for jam. They're delicious. If you don't like the skins on the figs, you can peel them off. This tastes great even if you don't have red wine.Boil the larger figs for a little bit longer. It's probably better to add a little more sugar if you will be storing these for 1 month. Cherry Compote
I always make this compote when American cherries are in season. The alcohol will evaporate off, so this is delicious even for those who don't drink alcohol. For children, you can replace the white wine with water. Add the Kirsch before turning off the heat to evaporate the alcohol. By the way, you can also make this with Japanese cherries.
