I created a recipe using up the other half of a chocolate bar I ate.

Once you make the caramel, be sure to read the notes in the parentheses.
You can also use white chocolate!

You can also bake these in a muffin tin! Recipe by Shoshomaro

Ingredients

9 servings
  1. Caramel
  2. 50 gramsGranulated sugar
  3. 1 tbspWater
  4. 1Egg
  5. 20 gramsSugar (I recommend light brown sugar)
  6. 1 tbspVegetable oil
  7. 50 grams☆Cake flour
  8. 1/2 tsp☆Baking powder
  9. 1/2bar Chocolate bar (or chocolate chips)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Put the egg and sugar into a bowl and mix well until thickened. Add the vegetable oil and mix.

  2. 2

    Preheat the oven to 180℃.

  3. 3

Put the caramel and sugar in a pot and heat until brown (until you think it looks a little over-browned.)

  4. 4

Remove from the heat. Add the water. (Be careful of splatters!)

  5. 5

Pour the caramel into the bowl from Step 1 and quickly mix together. (It will harden quickly, so mix right away!!)

  6. 6

Once it has thickened, sift in the ☆ ingredients and mix well.

  7. 7

Add the chopped up chocolate and lightly mix. Fill the donut molds with the batter.

  8. 8

Bake for 10~15 minutes in the preheated oven. (For me, it was about 13 minutes.)
