Moong Dal Cheela with stuffed Paneer

Ingredients

makes 8 serving
  1. 2 cupssplit moong dal
  2. 1 inchginger
  3. 1 tspfennel seeds
  4. 1 tspcumin seeds
  5. 2green chillies
  6. 10-12curry leaves (optional)
  7. 1 tspasafoetida
  8. As per tasteSalt
  9. 200 gmspaneer grated
  10. 1 cupMysore masala dosa chutney/ Schezwan chutney

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak moong dal for almost 3 hours.

    Discard water and add it to a grinder jar along with cumin seeds, fennel seeds, ginger, green chilies, curry leaves, and asafoetida. Grind with ½ cup of water to smooth paste. Our it in a mixing bowl and whisk for 2-3 minutes. The batter is ready.

    Heat a cast-iron tawa or nonstick pan. Smear it with oil and season it. Pour a ladleful of batter in the center and spread it evenly on the hot tawa.

    Spread Mysore masala dosa chutney/Schezwan chutney and grated paneer.

    Once the cheela is cooked it will start leaving tawa. Roll it like dosa and Serve with fresh coriander chutney.
