Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 1/2 kgAssorted meat
  2. 4-6Scotch bonnet pepper
  3. leavesScent
  4. 1 teaspoonblended crayfish (optional)
  5. 1bulb red onion
  6. 1 teaspoonblended ginger
  7. 1 teaspoonblended garlic
  8. 2-4Ehuru seeds
  9. Salt (to taste)
  10. Seasoning (to taste)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash meat and add into a cooking pot.

  2. 2

    Season with one half of the chopped onion, garlic and ginger and cook till soft

  3. 3

    Roast the Ehuru seeds on naked flame a bit(this helps bring out the aroma much more) then remove the shell and blend.

    Wash and cut the scent leaves, then blend the scotch bonnet pepper

  5. 5

    When meat is tender, add in the remaining chopped onion, the blended Ehuru seeds, pepper, and crayfish.

  6. 6

    Don't forget to add salt and seasoning to your taste. Allow simmer for about 3 minutes

    Add the cut scent leaves and allow to cook for another minute then remove from the fire.

    Serve hot alone or with some boiled rice/yam or pasta
