This is one of my most favorite dishes. my children also love them very much, they eat four or five every time I make them.

My mother in law is Panamañian & taught me this dish. It is one of the more traditional dishes made in Panama. I have learned the simpler version. They use real coconut & fresh beans. My husband & son love this dish. I'm glad that I can bring my husbands dishes to our kitchen.

I love traditional meals..

The first thing any Highland girl is taught to bake is shortbread. Here is the one my mother taught me. Just a few points to make in order for it to remain traditional, you must use butter and white sugar and do not add flavourings traditional shortbread is simple. I hope you enjoy :-) xxx

This recipe is based on the Traditional Dan Dan Noodles recipe by Fuschia Dunlop with a few adjustments to the topping amounts, which is the way I liked it in the end. For example, I like to use a little extra vinegar and less chili oil. This is still very spicy for me, but it might differ depending on the chili oil you use and of course your tolerance for spiciness. I also only use one type of soy sauce (I recommend a high quality one if you can find it).This will make a very big portion for 2 people or a smaller portion for 4 people if you have other side dishes to eat. You can also make all of the pork topping and save it for another meal on a different day. Just cook the noodles fresh, adding all the toppings as needed.

The thing that I love about this cake is it's not to sweet. You do get some delicious sweetness from the yummy Pineapple. 🍍

I wanted to make something tasty and savory that would only use one pan! I love cooking but I don't really love washing the dishes. This recipe will yield about 15-16 meatballs. You can replace the mild homemade rub with salt and black pepper.

Here is my spin on the classic Shepherd's Pie... Well really Cottage Pie, because it has ground beef instead of ground lamb... And I decided to be a little creative and use purple potatoes instead of the traditional Yukon potatoes. This is one of my favorite dishes! 😄
