I grow kale and most of it gets eaten by my two guinea pigs which love it. An ophthalmologist friend of mine mentioned it is a good food to prevent macular degeneration so I decided to give it a proper try. And I agree with Timmy and Tommy ( my pets) it's lovely. I may chop and freeze it to add to my soups later in the year. Hmmm

This is basically a rendition of the classic French dish known as "Bouef Bourguignon" from the Burgundy region. This is a wonderful soup with mirepoix, mushrooms, beef and thyme. Perfect for cold weather.
