Kulcha Naan/ Indian flat bread Kulcha Naan/ Indian flat bread
Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread found in the cuisines mainly of India. It mostly consists of egg and milk products like yogurt. The egg brings crispiness to the naan while the yogurt helps in digestion of the gluten. It is generally prepared from wheat flour. However, spices are not used in naan. Spices are mostly used to make kulchas. Therefore, what I present here can better be called kulcha naan.#epicureanfeast #loveforfood #indianbread The Epicurean Feast -
Delicious Naan Bread Delicious Naan Bread
Naan made only with bread flour tends to be tough, and only with cake flour only is not chewy enough, so I wanted to make a personalized version. This is the absolutely best naan I've ever made! Eat with keema curry. If the dough sticks to your hands, dust with a little bread flour when forming the dough. When putting the dough in the frying pan, roll it out a bit while cooking. If you use a generous amount of olive oil, the naan will stay tender and delicious even after time! Cheese Naan - Without Kneading the Dough Cheese Naan - Without Kneading the Dough
I love cheese naan served at my local Indian restaurant. Now I live away from my hometown, so I miss it. I tried the "Microwave Proofing Bread Dough"by user 'potepote' once, and it was nice and chewy. Then I wondered if it would turn out like naan bread if I pan-fried it. That's how I came up with this recipe.Melting-type sliced cheese is better than pizza cheese to make this. The dough rips easily with pizza cheese, and I could put more cheese inside when I used sliced cheese. When it's cooled, it will be delicious again if you microwave it. So I eat leftover naan for breakfast, etc.Anyway, after proofing the dough in the microwave, pan-fry it, and you will have naan! Try with any bread dough of your choice.
