First, soak the urad dal and grind it finely. Add the food coloring to the flour and mix well with water to make a batter. Then, add the ground urad dal to the batter and mix well. Add the baking powder and mix again.

Now, add half a cup of water to the sugar and bring it to a boil. Once the sugar is completely dissolved, boil for another 4 to 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and add 4 to 5 drops of lemon juice.

Heat ghee in a pan. Fill a bottle with the batter and pour it into the hot ghee in the shape of jalebis. Fry until they turn red, then dip the jalebis in the syrup for 1 minute and remove.
