Easy Tuna and Avocado Dip

Since I was chosen as a tester for "Kirin's wine-based cocktail", I came up with a recipe that goes well with it, and I would like to share this dip which is our family's staple appetizer.
I love both tuna and avocado and came up with this easy recipe. The ponzu is the secret ingredient!
Please try it over rice as in Step 5.

-Ripened avocado will taste better.
-Lemon juice is used to prevent the avocado from discoloring and also to pre-season it. I sprinkled on 5 drops of Pokka brand's lemon juice.
-Since it's an easy and quick recipe, there is no hint in particular. Recipe by melonty

Ingredients

  1. 1Avocado
  2. 1 canCanned tuna
  3. 6drops Lemon juice
  4. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  5. 1 tbspPonzu
  6. 1 tbspOnions (finely chopped)
  7. 2 tbsp+ Mayonnaise
  8. 1French bread or crackers

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the avocado into 5 mm cubes and sprinkle on the lemon juice. Season it with salt and pepper, then mix in the ponzu.

  2. 2

If you are not fond of the spiciness of the onions, sprinkle on some salt (not listed), rub, rinse, and drain it. I don't mind its spiciness, so I just cut it and did nothing to it.

  3. 3

Combine the avocado with the onions and canned tuna (drain the oil), and add as much mayonnaise as you prefer.

  4. 4

It goes well with French bread, baguette, or crackers! It's perfect to accompany a wine-based cocktail. It can be a great filling for a sandwich as well.

  5. 5

This avocado dip's secret is the ponzu. Put it on a bowl of rice, drizzle on the mixture of wasabi and soy sauce, and enjoy the delicious avocado dip over rice!
