Ingredients

one 9" pie
  • 1pie crust
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1/4 cupcornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoonground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoonground cinnamon
  • pinchsalt
  • 6 cupspeeled, cored thinly sliced tart apples, 4-5 med apple
  • 1 cupall purpose (ap) flour
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/2 cbutter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1/4 cupcornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoonground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoonground cinnamon
  • pinchsalt
  • 6 cupspeeled, cored thinly sliced tart apples, 4-5 med apple
  • 1 cupall purpose (ap) flour
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/2 cbutter, cold and cubed

Steps

  1. 1

    Make sure to read over directions before starting!

  2. 2

    Preheat oven to 350°.

  3. 3

    For Filling: Mix together granulated sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt in a bowl, mix in apples and spoon into pie crust.

  4. 4

    For Crumb Topping: Mix together flour and brown sugar. Using your hands, mush together with cold butter cubes until crumbly.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle the crumbs on top of the pie until completely covered.

  6. 6

    Bake on sheet pan for an hour and thirty mins.

  7. 7

    Serve warm or cold, either way it's good!

  8. 8

    First prepare your pie crust according to directions on package.
