I love marinated squid, but squid is quite expensive, so I cooked this recipe with inexpensive chikuwa.

Cooking Instructions

Cut the onion into thin slices, and soak in water. Cut the cucumber and carrot into thin strips, and sprinkle with a small amount of salt (not listed).

Cut the chikuwa diagonally.

Mix ● ingredients in a bowl to make marinade. Mix the sugar, salt, and vinegar first, and when dissolved, mix with the olive oil.

Squeeze the excess water out from the onion, cucumber, and the carrot. Add to Step 3 bowl with the chikuwa, toss together, then it's done.

Letting it sit for a little allows the flavor to absorb and makes it more delicious.
