This is basically the filling for Indian samosas.
I make this dish when making samosas is too much trouble.

For the green peas, I use frozen ones straight from the freezer but if you are using canned green peas or boiled split peas, skip Step 3 and stir fry with the potatoes in Step 4. Recipe by FarmersK

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 200 gramsPotatoes (I suggest the May Queen variety )
  2. 100 mlGreen peas
  3. 1 pinchCumin seeds (if you have any)
  4. 1 tbspVegetable oil
  5. [A]
  6. 1 tbspWater
  7. 1 tspJapanese Worcestershire-style sauce
  8. 2/3 tspCurry powder
  9. 1Salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Peel the potatoes and chop into 1 cm cubes. Boil until soft.

  2. 2

Heat some oil in the frying pan and add cumin seeds over medium heat. Cook until pungent.

  3. 3

When using frozen green peas, use them straight from the freezer. Stir fry the green peas first. Once they've softened, move on to the next step.

  4. 4

Add the boiled potatoes and the [A] ingredients. It's done when the water has been completely cooked off.
