Curry Pizza

This pizza has been popular with my kids ever since they were small, and even now that they are in high school. I guess this curry taste is soul food for Japanese people.

You can also use curry powder instead of curry roux, but it will not thicken. This is all right for the pizzas, but it will be difficult to use as a filling for curry bread. I recommend using curry roux. Recipe by Koba

Ingredients

  1. Pizza dough
  2. 2Basic pizza dough (27 cm)
  3. Curry
  4. 50 gramsGround beef and pork mix
  5. 1/2 mediumOnion
  6. 1/4 mediumCarrot
  7. 1 mediumPotato
  8. 1about 10 slices Sliced mushrooms
  9. 3 tbspFrozen corn kernels
  10. 1 cloveGarlic
  11. 1 tbspVegetable oil
  12. 2 tbspRed wine
  13. 100 mlWater
  14. 1 tbspKetchup
  15. 1 tspSoup stock granules
  16. 1 blockStore-bought curry roux
  17. 1Pizza cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Dice the onion, carrot and garlic. Cut the potato into 5 mm cubes.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a frying pan. Tilt the pan and fry the garlic until the aroma is released, taking care not to burn it.

  3. 3

Fry the ground meat and vegetables, then add the red wine, water, ketchup and soup stock granules. Keep frying until the potatoes are soft.

  4. 4

Finally add the curry roux and bring to a boil. It should thicken.

  5. 5

In my house, we also use this for making curry bread. Chill it and roll it into balls, and then wrap with the pizza dough. You can make curry bread!

  6. 6
  7. 7

Top with cheese and place in the oven. In my oven, it takes 10-11 minutes at 300°C (stone oven mode).

  8. 8

It is lacking in a little green colour, isn't it. It will look even better with mixed vegetables or asparagus.
