Dahi Bhalla also called as Dahi Vada is prepared by soaking Bhallas or lentil dumplings in yogurt and topped with sweet and spicy chutneys .

Steps

For Bhalla wash and Soak both daal for overnight or 6-8 hours.
In next morning drain water from the daal and grind it to make a fine paste.
Do not add water while grinding, if fell difficult to grind add 1-2 ice cubes in grinding jar.
Now whisk batter with electric better for 2-3 minutes or till fluffy you can also whisk it with hand. - 2
Now, Add salt in the batter.
In a bowl take 1/4cup water and asafoetida.
Heat oil in a kadhai. Keep the flame on low-medium.
Check oil by adding little batter. - 3
Firstly moist your hand with asafoetida water then take some batter and carefully pour it into oil. Fry Bhalla till golden brown.

Similarly fry all Bhalla.
Further, take 4-5 cup water in a big bowl and soak all fried Bhalla in water for 1-2 hours. - 5
Now take curd in a bowl, add salt Cummin powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, black salt, sugar and salt. Whisk everything together.
Now pour Bhalla into curd mixture and keep them in for 20-30 minutes.
Super soft and juicy Dahi Bhalla is ready. - 6
Place some bhalla in a serving plate and pour remaining curd over them. Now Garnish Dahi Bhalla with green chutney, sweet chutney, Cummin powder and chilli powder.
