Ingredients

10 minutes prep + cooking
1 broccoli
  1. 1broccoli
  2. Water
  3. Bowla lot of ice cubes + super cold water

Cooking Instructions

10 minutes prep + cooking
  1. 1

Separate the broccoli florets. Peel the thick stem and slice it instead of throwing it.

  2. 2

Boil a lot of water in a deep pot. Make sure the pot is wide enough where each broccoli floret can have its own space 😆 prepare a bow of ice and cold water in the meantime

  3. 3

Once the water start boiling and you can clearly see the bubbles on the surface, throw the broccoli.

  4. 4

When you add the broccoli, the water temperature will decrease. You need to bring it to a boil as quick as possible so best to add the lid on. Cook for TWO MINUTES ONLY!

  5. 5

After two minutes, remove the lid and move the broccoli quickly to the super cold icy water to stop cooking. Leave it there for around 5-10 minutes

  6. 6

Drain, pat dry to remove excess water, sprinkle some salt and enjoy!
