  1. 1Banana
  2. 1Apple
  3. raisins
  4. 150 mlmilk (I prefer soy milk! - tastes great for this)
  5. 1 pinchsunflower seeds
  6. 1 pinchlinseed
  7. 4almonds

  1. 1

    Chop fruit into small chunks. Can use various fruits and combinations, but banana and apples form the base. Can add strawberries, pears, nectarines, kiwis etc.

    Pour milk into a breakfast bowl and add the almonds.

  3. 3

    Microwave the milk and almonds until milk is steaming hot.

  4. 4

    Carefully add all the chopped fruit to the bowl.

  5. 5

    Add a handful of raisins.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle seeds if available - chia, linseed, sunflower, pumpkin, dried cranberries/apricots etc.

  7. 7

    Eat!

As a type 1 diabetic on a low carb diet, this is quite high carb. Banana is 23g/100g (so a medium banana is about 30g), apple is 14g/100g (so a medium apple is 15g) and raisins are 80g/100g. So this looks like about 60g of carbs which is more carbs that I eat in one day! For comparison oats are 14g of carbs per 100g, and lower carb than any of those fruits!
