This recipe is my absolute favorite, I've made this recipe out of nowhere really, I was craving my mom's delicious Peruvian arroz con leche, but she wasn't home. So I got creative and made my own 😂 I was gauranteed it wouldn't turn out good, hut it actually turned out delicious and my whole family loved it 💖 I'm officially the family's arroz con leche provider 👌😂

Arroz con leche Peruano

Ingredients

  1. 1 cuprice
  2. 3 cupswater
  3. 5 sticksclavo de olor
  4. 3 stickscanela
  5. 2 cupsmilk
  6. 1/2 cupevaporated milk
  7. 3/4 cupscondensed milk
  8. 4 tbspgranulated sugar
  9. Shredded coconut, or raisins (optional)
  10. Pinchpowdered cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    First put the rice and water in a pot, in medium heat. Add the sticks of canela, and clavo de olor. Let it boil.

    Stir the rice occasionally as it begins to cook. Add the milk once it has a little water left to cook, add the evaporated milk as well.

    Let the rice cooker completely, always stir occasionally and add sugar tbsp by tbsp, the rice must have a slightly creamy and wet consistency.

    Add the condensed milk and stir it in the rice mixture. Put the heat on low and let it cook for a few more mins.

    Once it has a creamy consistency, turn off the heat and add in your shredded coconut or raisins.

    Let it cool, put into a small bowl, add the cinnamon and enjoy 😋🍚😍
