∆ Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival of devotion, joy, and sweetness. On this occasion, traditional sweets like Panchkhadya Modak hold a special place. Made with dry coconut, poppy seeds, dried dates, grated jaggery, and dry fruits, this modak is delicious and healthy. It is believed that this modak is extremely dear to Lord Ganesha, and hence it is offered as prasad.
∆ The traditional Panchkhadya Modak (specially made as prasad for Lord Ganesha) is made from five main ingredients:
1. Dry coconut (grated coconut)
2. Poppy seeds
3. Dried dates (kharek)
4. Dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios, etc.)
Khadi Sakar
5. Grated jaggery + ghee
Thus, Panchkhadya Modak is not just a food, but a message: 'life should be filled with purity, peace, strength, prosperity, and love'.
Coconut brings purity,
poppy seeds bring peace,
Dry dates bring strength,
dry fruits bring prosperity, and jaggery-ghee brings sweetness.
O Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles, instill these five qualities in our lives.

Cooking isn’t just something I do — it’s a piece of my heart, served on a plate. From the sizzle of spices in hot oil to the quiet joy of kneading dough with my hands, every dish I make carries a story, a memory, a feeling. Whether it's comfort food on rainy days or something bold that sparks curiosity, cooking is how I express love, creativity, and care. Each ingredient, every flavor, speaks of passion — not just for food, but for the smiles it brings, the moments it creates, and the warmth it spreads.✨ This isn’t just food. It’s a part of me.Come join my journey:https://www.instagram.com/krishna_recipes_?igsh=MXIzdzYwMXJ0Nno3OQ==
