Ingredients

  1. 200 gmCottage cheese (paneer) square cubes
  2. 100 gmCapsicum vertically cut
  3. 1 cupChopped tomatoes
  4. 1 tbspGinger garlic chilli paste
  5. 1/2 cupTomato puree
  6. 1 tsp eachDry masala powder – turmeric, chilli, coriander, cumin
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1 tspPunjabi garam masala
  9. 1 tbspGrated cheese and cottage cheese
  10. 1 tbspCream and coriander
  11. 1 tspDry fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
  12. 1 tbspOil and vegetable oil
  13. For 1/2 cup Punjabi gravy
  14. 1 tbspOil
  15. 2Red chillies
  16. 1 tbsp Garlic paste
  17. 1Bay leaf
  18. 1 Clove
  19. 1/4 tspCoriander seeds
  20. 50 gmOnion paste
  21. 1 tspGaram Masala
  22. 1 tspCoriander and cumin seeds
  23. a pinch Turmeric powder
  24. 1 1/2 tbsp Butter
  25. less than 50 gm Cashew, melon seeds (magaj), poppy seeds (khus khus) paste
  26. less than 50 gm. Tomato ketchup
  27. 2 drops Edible colour (yellow)
  28. to taste Salt
  29. as needed. Water
  30. For garnishing
  31. as needed. Golden brown fried onions, cashews and cream

Steps

  1. 1

    Fry the cottage cheese cubes to light golden brown.

  2. 2

    Heat some vegetable oil in a pan and add garlic ginger chilli paste, garlic paste, vertically cut capsicum and sauté.

  3. 3

    For gravy:-. Heat some oil in a pan and add chilli, garlic, ginger, bay leaf, cloves, paste of cloves and coriander seeds and sauté for 5 minutes.

    Add onion paste in it and saute for 2 minutes, add the remaining ingredients and let it cook till it is light brown in colour.

    Add the butter, cashews, poppy seeds and

    In the capsicum sautéed pan, add turmeric powder, salt, punjabi masala, dried fenugreek leaves, and chopped tomatoes and mix and cook well.

    Add yellow gravy, and tomato puree to it and cook well.

  8. 8

    Add grated cheese and cottage cheese, and fried cottage cheese pieces and mix well..

  9. 9

    In the end, add cream and coriander.

    Serve in a serving bowl and garnish with golden brown onion, cashews and cream
