Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 8 ozDry Chick Peas
  2. 8 cupWater
  3. 1 cloveGarlic (smashed)
  4. 1/2 tspCrushed Red Pepper
  5. 1/4 tspGround Nutmeg
  6. 1/4 tspGround Black Pepper
  7. 2 tspSalt
  8. 1 1/2 cupMilk
  9. 2 tbspSalted Butter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add all ingredients except milk and butter to a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Simmer for 75 minutes.

    Strain chick peas and pour into a blender with butter. Begin blending adding the milk 1/4 cup at a time until smooth. It may not take all 1 1/2 cups.

  3. 3

    Transfer to serving dish and top with drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle of dried terragon.
