Gado-gado

Self isolating due to Covid-19 has driven me to eat more healthy food. One of traditional food that quite popular in Indonesia (my home country) and has been categorised as healthy food due to its ingredients which is rich in veggies is Gado-gado. This is such veggies salad with peanut sauce. The recipe has been modified due to the availability of the veggetables in the market in Australia, especially in Brisbane.

Cara Membuat

Saus kacang: haluskan bawang merah dan bawang putih, tumis hingga harum, masukkan cabe yg jg telah dihaluskan, masukkan daun jeruk, tambahkan santan. Masukkan kacang halus, aduk rata. Masukkan air asam, masak hingga meletup (sambil terus diaduk). Beri gula,garam, penyedap, test rasa.

Didihkan air, masukkan wortel, masak hingga krenyes2, angkat dan tiriskan. Air rebusan jangan dibuang, masukkan kentang, masak hingga empuk, angkat tiriskan. Masukkan kacang panjang, rebus kurleb 7 menit, angkat tiriskan. Siram tauge dgn air mendidih, lalu tiriskan

Tata sayuran, di atas mangkuk. Beri potongan telur, timun dan kerupuk. Siram dgn saus kacang, dan taburi dgn bawang goreng. Sajikan dhn lontong dan sambal.
