A chutney that is an irreplaceable accompaniment for SI varieties

First, break open fresh coconut and cut into pieces. Remove the brown portion.
In a mixer jar, crush dariya into a fine powder and keep aside.
Now, crush the finely chopped coconut pieces.

Add in green chillies, salt and some water and churn again.

Now mix in the dariya powder and water as required and churn to form a smooth chutney.

For Tempering:
In 1 tbsp oil add rai. When it splitters, add urad dal. When pinkish, add in curry leaves and hing. Switch off. - 5
Add the tempering to the chutney. This enhances the taste of the chutney.

Tasty chutney is ready.to serve with idlis Or dosas.
