Buns for Sliders

I made this using a bread maker, but you can knead it by hand. We love sliders but we can't find the perfect buns for them. You can glaze the top with yolk and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top for better finish.

This recipe will yield about a dozen buns, more or less. If the buns are too thick, cut and remove the middle part. You can use this for sandwiches later!

When you are making bread, sometimes you need to add more flour or fluid. Check the consistency of the dough and add flour or fluid accordingly.

Ingredients

12-14 servings
  1. 150 mlwarm water
  2. 1 tbspinstant yeast
  3. 2 tbspsugar
  4. 1egg
  5. 1/2 cupmashed potatoes
  6. 3 cupsflour (high protein content)
  7. 1 tbsppowdered milk
  8. 1 pinchsalt
  9. 1 tbspbutter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Add warm water, instant yeast, and sugar to the bread maker. Wait about 5-10 minutes until it bubbles.

  2. 2

Add the rest of the ingredients according to the list, one by one.

  3. 3

Use "kneading and proofing" setting. (It will take about an hour or so)

  4. 4

Flatten the dough in a surface covered with flour. Form dough into balls and put them in well-greased mold or casserole dish.

  5. 5

Cover the balled dough with moist tablecloth and proof for about 45 minutes.

  6. 6

Heat the oven (175 Celcius degrees). Put the buns into the oven. It takes about 10 minutes in my oven, but check from time to time. The buns are done when the color is golden with a hint of brown.

  7. 7

Remove the buns from the mold and put on a wire rack to cool.
