Steps

Heat ghee/oil in a pan,add mustard seeds when they start to crack add chana dal/ urad dal and peanuts.fry on low flame till they roasted well or golden brown.

Add dried red chillies,curry leaves to the pan and fry for few secs.

Add hing, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and tamarind pulp,saute for few secs.add cooked rice along with salt and mix to coat the rice with the spices and cook covered for 2 -3 mins on low flame.

Tamarind Rice is ready to serve.serve hot.
