Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into dices. Boil them from the water until they get very soft inside.

Drain the hot water and mash them.

Transfer the sweet potato onto the fine mesh sieve and strain them by pressing them with a wooden spatula or stick. Alternatively, you can also put the sweet potato in a food processor and make puree.

Add butter, sugar and fresh cream and mix well over the low heat.

Molded into a round shape. One ball is around 30g. Brush the egg yolk liquid and sprinkle black sesame on top. Bake them into the preheated oven for 20 minutes(200℃).

It was his (2-D's) 'supposedly' birthday yesterday and this keyboard cake, which is chocolate both inside and out was one of the best birthday cakes I've ever made for him. He's my favorite Gorillaz character and I've had this heavy crush on him ever since I first saw him and his (fictional) bandmates on TV as a 9 year old girl 19 years back!!Due to ingredient shortages at home because of the lockdown caused by the ongoing covid-19 outbreak, fearing the virus, I couldn't run down to the store to get my usual cake supplies and bake him any new birthday cake this year. It's sad but sharing an old recipe won't hurt anybody, I suppose.I divided the recipe and baked this cake separately in 2 square tins since I didn't have any rectangular tin with me at the time. If you have a rectangular tin, bake the full recipe in one go! If you're in a hurry, you can bake this in the microwave for 04:00 minutes like the way I did. 🍮 Cream Caramel Pudding/Flan
Very easy to make only if it's made correctly ❤Be super-careful if you're making the hot caramel topping for this pudding or flan!! Don't get distracted, any carelessness can lead to serious injuries ⚠️ Use a silver wok to make the hot caramel to prevent yourselves from any additional injuries. Take further care of yourselves while pouring this hot caramel on to the mould. Handle both the wok and the hot mould with oven-mittens before chilling in the fridge.All you need are a gas/electric stove, an electric hand-held mixer, a metal mould, a cooling rack, a giant pot to steam this dessert, some aluminum foil to cover the dessert while it's steaming, a lid to cover the pot and a heavy brick to hold it all in place.It shouldn't take that long to steam. Just, take a fork/toothpick/skewer and poke it in the center. If it comes clean, then you'll know it's ready! 😋I'm often used to making this dessert with store-bought vanilla ice cream as a cheats way of bringing it to life but this time, I decided to use sweetened condensed milk instead since... we haven't had any ice cream in the fridge due to the lockdown caused by this virus pandemic 😷Chill this sweet concoction in the fridge. I have made fried chicken many ways, southern style fried chicken, Chinese style fried chicken, Karaage chicken, Korean style fried chicken. I have experimented on these styles too. In this version, I incorporated southern style fried chicken with karaage chicken and my mom’s style. I made a wet better using buttermilk and potato starch. Red Velvet Heart Cake ❤🍰
A Valentine's Day special... made yesterday for Valentine's Day this year. #valentinesday2020It doesn't need to be 100% perfect but as long as you stick to the recipe, it'll give you outstanding results. Like all my other cakes, this cake was baked in the microwave because, I have no electric oven at home... unfortunately. If you want to use electric oven with right temperature settings and a bundle of parchment papers, go ahead and feel free to.I divided this recipe into 2 halves or batches and baked them separately. The first batch of cake batter was baked on a square-shaped pan and the second batch was baked on a round pan and also... there's an easy hack to shape this cake into a heart. No need to cut with a paper template, no need to bake it on a heart-shaped pan. Just, turn the square into a diamond position, cut the round cake into semi-circles and attached those on the diamond-shaped cake and that is it... an easy heart cake! Just make sure that both the cakes are even and in proportion.Normally, cream cheese frosting or cream cheese buttercream is used for this cake but here, I decided to use the 3-ingredient American buttercream instead. If you want to use cream cheese, I recommend a bar of Kraft's Philadelphia but this part is entirely optional.I'm an amateur cook, not a professional and I bake to express creativity and for fun. Mushroom n Shrimp Miso Soup
Typically, miso soup doesn’t have too many ingredients. The simplicity of the soup makes it very appealing to me. But I added quite a few items in this one though. Salt n Pepper Shrimp
Salt n Pepper Shrimp, definitely a crowd pleaser. Fried, salty and spicy- whats not to like. A quick, simple and easy item which doesn’t require too many ingredients. The main ingredient in this item is Sichuan peppercorns. They are unique for their numbing effect. Other peppers will do the job, but you don’t quite get the Szechuan peppercorn effect (IMO) Kiron Ahsan
