Ingredients

  1. Daal & Beans (Soaked)
  2. 1/4 CupSoaked & boiled kidney beans
  3. 1/4 CupYellow & green Moong Daal
  4. 1/4 CupArhar & chana Daal
  5. 1/4black & orange Masoor daal
  6. Veggies for Daal
  7. 1 Cupchopped Cluster beans (gawar fali)
  8. 1/2 cupchopped fresh fenugreek leaves
  9. 1 cupchopped Tomato
  10. 1 cupchopped onion
  11. 2Chopped fresh chilli
  12. 1/4 cupchopped Coriander
  13. 2 Tsplemon juice
  14. Spices
  15. 1/2 TspTurmeric powder
  16. 1 TspRed Chilli powder
  17. 1 TspRock Salt
  18. 1 Tsphomemade Garam masala
  19. Tempering/seasoning
  20. 1 TbspGhee/Oil (As per choice)
  21. 1 TspCumin seeds/jeera
  22. Pinchasafoetida/hing
  23. 3-4dry red chilli
  24. 1bayleaf
  25. 2-3Garlic cloves
  26. 4-5Fresh curry leaves
  27. 1/2 TspGinger paste
  28. Dhokli
  29. 2 CupsWhole-wheat flour
  30. 1 TspCarom seeds/ajwain
  31. 1 Cupchopped fenugreek leaves
  32. 1Chopped green chilli
  33. 1/2 TspRock salt
  34. 1/2 TspTurmeric powder
  35. 1 TspCumin seeds
  36. 1 TspOil
  37. 1/2 TspRed chilli powder
  38. Water to knead the dough

Steps

  1. 1

    For dhokli mix all the "Dhokli" ingredients and knead the dough. Neither tight nor too soft.

    Make small flat balls or roll the dough and cut into diamond or any shape you want.

    Make sure dhokli must not be too thick. Let them boil until they cook properly. I boil them seperately and then use same water at the time of booking daal. That makes daal more delicious.

    Once dhokli done,keep aside after draining water.

    Mix all daal, rinse well. Add water, chopped veggies, salt & turmeric powder. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistle.

    Heat ghee, add asafoetida, cumin seeds, ginger chilli paste, garlic paste. Little more red chilli. Add into daal & garnish with coriander leaves.

  7. 7

    Add dhokli in daal. Serve hot.
