Ingredients

  1. 200 gramssultanas/raisins/ mixed fruits
  2. 200 gramsgranulated sugar
  3. 125 gramsmargarine
  4. 250 gramsself rising flour
  5. 250 mlmilk
  6. 1 tspcinnamon (optional)
  7. 1egg

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 160C

    Heat up milk, margarine , sultanas and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boil whilst stirring continuously. Once it has boiled remove from heat and leave to cool for 10minutes or more.

    Fold in the flour. Add beaten egg and mix again till combined.

    Pour into a greased loaf tin and bake in the preheated oven for an hour or till done and ENJOY!

I discovered my love for cooking a few years ago. Since eating out is expensive i figured i had some learning to do. Living in a very small town(i doubt it can even be called that) where you cant always find what you wanted also pushed me towards doing it on my own. I am Zimbabwean by the way.I think the internet is the best invention ever since i can look up recipes, try and modify them to suit my preferences.
