My mother occasionally made this dish. As a child, I thought it was a fancy side dish (haha).

Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. 9 ozpork tenderloin block
  2. 1/2onion, sliced
  3. Salt and pepper, to taste
  4. Sauce
  5. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  6. 1 tablespoonmirin
  7. 1 tablespoonsake
  8. 1 tablespoongrated ginger
  9. 1/2 tablespoongrated garlic

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the tenderloin into slices about 1/2 inch thick. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Spread foil on the toaster tray. Slice the onion into 1/4 inch slices and lay half of them on the foil.

    Place the tenderloin slices on top of the onions. It's okay if they overlap a little.

    Place the remaining onions on top of the tenderloin.

    Mix the ingredients marked with ☆.

    Pour the sauce evenly over the onions and tenderloin, close the foil, and bake in the toaster for 10 minutes. If there are still red parts, bake for another 3 minutes.
