I came up with this reassuring dessert for dieters using fresh okara pulp that I received from a tofu store.

If your pan isn't non-stick, grease lightly.

I wouldn't say this dough is hard to handle, but if you coat them lightly with katakuriko potato starch flour before baking, it's much easier to flip them over. For 15 cakes. Recipe by Maichael

Ingredients

15 servings
  1. 100 gramsFresh okara
  2. 2 gramsBaking powder
  3. 60 gramsHoney
  4. 1Egg

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Combine the okara and baking powder in a plastic bag. Shake and mix fully.

  2. 2

    Add honey and eggs. Rub the bag until everything blends together.

  3. 3

    Remove the dough from the bag. No need for a bowl if you cut open the bag as above .

    Divide into 15 portions. Form into balls. Flatten to about 1cm thickness.

  5. 5

    Heat a non-stick pan over high heat. Cook the dough until both sides are browned. Refer to helpful hints.

    Cover the pan (you could also use aluminum foil) and cook for another 3-4 minutes over low heat to finish.
