Ingredients

  1. 1fresh medium sized beetroot
  2. 1/2onion large chopped
  3. 1 tbspUrad dal
  4. 1 tbspchana dal
  5. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  6. 1small marble size tamarind
  7. 3 red chilli
  8. 2 tspcurry leaves
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. 4-5 coconut pieces
  11. 2 tspOil

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat 2tbsp oil in a kadai. Add Urad dal, chanadal. Fry until golden brown. Add cumin seeds.

    Add small piece of tamarind with red chilli and curry leaves

  3. 3

    Fry in oil. Add chopped onion sauté well. Now add the grated beetroot. Cook until it gets soften. Add salt to taste

  4. 4

    Now add the coconut piece. Sauté for 2 minutes. Cool down completely. Grind to smooth paste. Add tempering. Yummy Beetroot chutney is ready
