  • 2 cupscooked rice
  • 1/4easpoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoonghee
  • Spice powder for tamarind rice
  • 4dry red chillies
  • 2 teaspoonscoriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoonchana dal
  • 1 teaspoonurad dal
  • 1/4 teaspoonmethi seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoonsesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonhing
  • Tamarind pulp
  • 50 gramstamarind
  • 2 cuphot water
  • Tempering and other ingredients for tamarind rice
  • 3 tablespoonsoil
  • 1/4 cuppeanuts
  • 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonhing
  • 1 sprigcurry leaves
  • 2-3dry red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 2 teaspoonsjaggery powder

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Take pan and dry roast all spices and let it cool and grind into powder

    Take out the tamarind pulp

    Take the kadai put grinded spices and tamarind juice and let it cook till it becomes paste

    Take kadai put ghee and the tamarind powder and let it cook add rice and mix well
