My Fried Cabbage and Bacon

Ingredients

  1. 5-6 slicesbacon
  2. 2 tbspminced garlic (2 cloves if using fresh) be like me use 6
  3. 1large head cabbage, chopped or sliced
  4. 1large yellow onion, diced
  5. 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  6. 1/2 tsponion powder
  7. 1/4 tspcelery seed
  8. Sprinkle of dill weed
  9. Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Fry up bacon and chop up your cabbage.

  2. 2

    As your bacon is getting crispy, chop your garlic and onion.

  3. 3

    Just as your bacon begins to crisp. Drain on paper towel and drain some of the fat. Keep a little though.

  4. 4

    Add 2 tsp butter to your grease. Chop up cabbage, add onion and garlic and your chopped up bacon. Add to pan.

  5. 5

    Add in the spices. Mix well!

  6. 6

    Cook till you think it's done.

So if you didn't know this already, we Southerners are pretty set in our ways when it comes to cooking certain dishes.We also don't measure seasonings. I get to share my recipes with others.8. Making memories.9. It's a continuous learning process.10. Cheaper than eating out.11. It saves the expenses.12. Makes me a happier person.13.
