Thai Basil Pork Fried Rice Wrapped in Omelet (Kid-Friendly)
Steps
- 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Make the basil pork filling:
- Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground pork and cook until done.
- Season with a pinch of sugar, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and a splash of dark soy sauce. Stir to combine.
- Add the bell pepper and Thai basil leaves. Stir until combined, then turn off the heat. Transfer to a bowl and set aside. - 3
Heat a little oil in a pan. Once hot, beat the eggs and pour them into the pan, tilting to spread the egg evenly.
- 4
When the egg is set, turn off the heat. Place the cooked rice in the center, fold all four sides of the omelet over the rice, and flip it onto a plate or lunchbox.
- 5
Use a knife to cut a cross in the top of the omelet, then add the basil pork filling. Garnish with extra Thai basil leaves.
