Ingredients

  1. For coconut halwa:-
  2. 100 gmdesiccated coconut
  3. 1 tspcardamom powder
  4. 5 tbspsugar
  5. 1 tbspghee
  6. For tomato halwa:-
  7. 2 bowlsfresh tomato puree
  8. 5 tbspsugar
  9. 2 tbspcorn flour
  10. 4 tbspmelon seeds
  11. as neededBlanched,peeled and sliced almonds

Cooking Instructions

    In a vessel take sugar add 1/2 cup water,heat and stir till sugar dissolves.after a boil close the gas.In a pan heat ghee add desiccated coconut and roast on low flame for 1-2 mins.Add sugar syrup and cardamom powder.mix well and stir till it becomes thick.Spread this halwa in a greased Plate evenly.

    In another pan Heat tomato puree.after a boil add sugar and melon seeds.when starts thickening,addcornflour slurry and stirr continuously till it becomes lumpfree and thick.

    Spread this tomato halwa on coconut halwa.press it evenly.garnish with melon seeds and chopped almonds slices.Allow it to cool.cut into pieces and serve.It tastes delicious with a combination of sweet coconut and tangy tomato taste with crunchy melon seeds.(to set tomato halwa,veg gel or agar agar 1 tsp can also be added)
